RDA UK Volunteer of the Year 2023

This was a big surprise for me to find out that Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) has chosen me as the winner of the RDA UK Volunteer of the Year award. The announcement was made at the end of the North Midlands Countryside Challenge Qualifiers and it came as a complete shock!

This award is to recognise those who gone above and beyond for the RDA in the last 12 months - whether this is at a group, regional or national level. It does mean a lot to me that I have been nominated for this category, RDA UK Volunteer of the Year in 2023.

I have committed my time covering the publicity for the RDA North Midlands region as their Regional Publicity Officer since September 2016 and the Regional Participant Representative since 2014 as well as being an ambassador for the charity. I’ll be heading to the RDA Nattional Championships at Hartpury in July to collect this special trophy in recognition of all my work as a RDA UK Volunteer. I love volunteering for RDA and couldn’t be more proud to have my work recognised. I was previously a winner of the RDA Young Volunteer award so am delighted to have been selected again for an award. I can’t wait to go to Hartpury to be presented with it!

RDA YOUNG VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD 2016

I remember the moment when I won the first award for RDA Young Volunteer of the Year category in 2016 standing next to Clare Balding and the Leadership Whisperers who sponsored this amazing award in recognition of my volunteering success at a group, regional and national level at the RDA Gala Awards 2016!
